Back in 2014, Manila was the first place outside of Australia that Canva put down roots - with a small but mighty team of just seven people. Fast-forward to today and we have over 1000 Canvanauts in the Philippines, each one playing a big role in bringing our mission to life.
We like to think it’s the unique blend of our Canva values, combined with the traditional Filipino warmth and hospitality, that makes our culture in the Philippines so special. Our community of 220 million + monthly active users is already creating over 400 designs every second, and we’re proud to have been profitable for seven years in a row. But we’ve got even bigger goals for the future, including our two-step plan:

Campus experience
Our campus (office) in Makati City in metro Manilla is designed to empower you to thrive. Our team love its warm and welcoming energy and eye-catching murals showcasing local culture. One of the ways we foster connection and community on campus is by connecting over amazing food, prepared by our in-house chefs. From Korean BBQ, to hotpots and steak stations, we love to come together to connect over delicious meals.
We also enjoy nothing more than a fun and quirky celebration, whether it’s Canva’s ten year anniversary, or reaching a team milestone, we love to dress up and let the good times roll. Our strong relationships, empowered by moments like these, are a part of what creates a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to share their ideas.
Our teams
Today, Customer Happiness remains our biggest team in Manila. There are the skilled Canvanauts using creative problem-solving to resolve issues for customers, and get them back on track designing - fast.
They’re supported by our Global User Voice Enablement team, whose mission is to delight our users in every interaction with Canva, by empowering every specialist. This team includes folks working in Workforce Management, Learning, Program Management, and Knowledge Management.
We also have Design teams in the Philippines, a growing Sales team, plus Canvanauts working across a number of other areas, like People and Operations.

Warmth, hospitality, a good time, and great food are just some of the most commonly used phrases I've heard people describe visiting the Manila campus for the first time. What I love most about the Manila campus is there's a true sense of community, creativity, and character - no matter how big we grow!
